Barcelona 4 - 0 Borussia Dortmund : Lewandowski strikes twice as Barcelona thrash Dortmund

Barcelona thumped visitors Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in their Champions League quarterfinal first leg Wednesday after Robert Lewandowski scored two goals against his old club to earn the Catalans a sizable advantage.

Undefeated since late December, the treble-chasing Barça predictably dominated the opening stages and grabbed the lead following Raphinha's strike in the 25th minute. A string of saves from Dortmund keeper Gregor Kobel frustrated Barça for the rest of the first half.

Barcelona emerged more determined after the break and it took only three minutes for them to score their second with Raphinha assisting Lewandowski, who nodded home from close range.

Lewandowski extended Barça's lead with a bullet strike in the 66th minute and Lamine Yamal rounded off the rout with a tidy finish from a quick counter in the 77th minute.

Barcelona extended their lead at the top to seven points with a 1-0 win at Leganés thanks to an own goal by defender Jorge Sáenz on Saturday that took their unbeaten LaLiga run to 12 matches.

Barca took the lead 3 minutes into the second half after Raphinha's cross for Robert Lewandowski was inadvertently deflected into the net by Leganes defender Sáenz.

Robert Lewandowski had put Bensebaini under pressure as he chased a cutback from Fermín López, and the Dortmund player stabbed the ball into his own net.

LaLiga leaders Barcelona fought back from 3-1 down to beat Celta Vigo 4-3 in a roller-coaster game Saturday, with a stoppage-time penalty by Raphinha extending their lead over Real Madrid at the top of the table to seven points.

Barcelona took the lead in the 12th minute through Ferran Torres but conceded an equaliser three minutes later when goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny misread a cross and allowed Borja Iglesias to score.

Barça won a record-extending 32nd Spanish Cup title thanks to a stunning strike from the French defender, who pounced on a pass by Brahim Díaz and slotted a shot into the low corner of Thibaut Courtois' net from 25 yards for the 116th-minute winner.

The match ended on a sour note for Real Madrid, as Antonio Rüdiger and Lucas Vázquez, both on the bench after being substituted earlier, received red cards for dissent from the sidelines, with Jude Bellingham also being flashed a red after the final whistle for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Pedri put them ahead in the 28th minute with a brilliant curling strike into the top corner from outside the box in a first half dominated by Barca.

Barcelona twice battled back to draw 3-3 at home against Inter Milan in a rip-roaring first leg of their Champions League semifinal in Olympic Stadium at Montjuïc on Wednesday.

Inter Milan made an explosive start, opening the scoring within the first minute courtesy of a cheeky back-heel goal from Marcus Thuram. The visitors extended their lead in the 21st minute with Denzel Dumfries finding the net with an acrobatic volley from a corner.

However, an electrifying Lamine Yamal led Barcelona's fightback, unleashing a superb strike from inside the box after a clever run from the right to reduce the deficit three minutes after Inter's second goal.

Yamal went close again, hitting the post from close range before Ferran Torres leveled the score in the 38th minute with a first-time finish.

Despite Barcelona's dominance, Inter regained the lead in the 64th minute when Dumfries headed home from a corner.
