If you plan to cheong Massage places then i would recommend hotel emerald or hotel plazzio. But if you like more buzzzzing night life areas. phat pong is the place to go there are a few hotels there but beware don't go to the wrong ones as there are a few for gays.

no mention with the help. as a backpacker myself, i believe in sharing, and I really hope that the session is useful. Call me if u want another session or any other questions. i will try my best to help here, and i believe the bros here are all very helpful too.

i personally enjoy bangkok and i will always try to find some time to go there to enjoy myself and with friends. basically bangkok is more vibrant than singapore and the people there are nicer too. go there with an open-minded mentality, (but be careful of the few scam that I had mentioned), and i sure u will really enjoy exploring and cheonging there. will want to hear your FR after u are back.

Shopping
MBK - Ma Boon Krong, a large shopping centre with a nice food court and a cinema at the 7th level. Try the pork leg with rice (stall C11) at the food court at 6th level. There is a gadget level at 4th level selling mobile phone, digital camera etc. Many other stalls there. Connected to Pathumwan Princess hotel. Nearest BTS (similiar to Singapore MRT) is National Stadium.

Siam Square - Thailand equivalent of Singapore Far East Plaza, except that instead of shopping centre, is make up of interconnecting small streets known as soi. (similar to lorong). A favourite hangout of teenagers there. Novotel Siam Square is located here. Nearest BTS is Siam station.

Central World Plaza - shopping centre used to be very popular, but now quite quiet but still worth a visit. Near the Erawan Four-faced Buddha and the nearest hotels are Aronoma (4-star), Intercontintial Bangkok, Grand Hyatt Erawan, Four Season. Nearest BTS is Chit Lom.

Chatukchat market - a large weekend outdoor market. Nearest BTS is Morchit.

Pratunam market - a large outdoor wholesale market. Nearby hotel included Baiyoke Sky, Baiyoke Suite and Indra Regent. Nearest BTS is Chit Lom (15 min walk)

Other shopping can be found is
high-end - Gaysorn Plaza (Chit Lom BTS), Emporium etc
a lot of Central Department stores, Robinson etc.

Massage Parlour
along Rachadapisek Road..many MPs....just walk along the road. Personal favourite is Poseidon, Natree. Near to Palazo Hotel, Emerald Hotel, Swissotel Le Concorde, Siam Beverly Hotel. Near MRT is Huay Kway. (take note that this is a new underground subway network)

Plaza Entertainment Centre and along New Petchburi Road. Nearby no subway network but the nearest is Nana but had to walk about 20-30 mins.

Many others...refer to the recommend website.

A-go-go bars
Patpong - a busy night market with a-go-go bar at the side-walk. The touts here are quite pester. Bargain hard when shopping here. (at least 50-70%). Recommend a-go-go bar is King Castle 2. Nearby hotel is Montien Hotel. BTS is Sala Daeng.

Nana Plaza, a 3-level building full of a-go-go bar. favoute bars are Rainbow 2 and Rainbow 4. Nearest hotels are alot...and BTS is Nana.

Soi Cowboy - a street with a-go-go bar at each side. Favourite bar is Baracada where u can look up at the glass ceiling and can see gal dancing upstair in school uniform wearing little underneath their skirt. nearest station is Asoke (BTS) and Sukhimvit (MRT)

Free-lance pickup
near Siam Hotel and CM2 at Novotel Siam Square. many others

Night clubs
e.g. are Forte, Carribean, Orbit. Must have deep pocket but the gals are beautiful.

Discos
some of my favourite are
the discos along RCA (Royal City Avenue) e.g route66 east

Hollywood, Dance Fever, Santika etc. - these discos has stage with performance and when the performance finish, the DJ take over.

Bed Supperclub and Q-bar. nearest BTS is Nana.

Hopefully prove useful to u. For gal-friendly hotels, depend on your budget and location. My favourite are

along Sukhumvit Road and about 1500B to 2000 bahts are Majestic Suite, City Lodge Soi 9, Nana Hotel. Can check out Grand Business Inn and Fortuna Hotel. Not sure gal-friendly.

For high-end, along Sukhumvit Road, can try JW Marriott, Sheraton Sukhumvit and Majestic Grande (I tried this and is gal-friendly)

For near Rachadapisek Road, can try Palazzo. No more that 1500bahts.

Could you pm me your number used in thailand. before i go there, will inform u first. i find that for the past few trips, i had been busy showing my novice friends around bangkok and pattaya and had not been discovering more interesting places in bangkok.

really need your experience in that and i hope that we could sanuk together there. hopefully, i can bring some friends along. some of them fell in love with bangkok after their first trip there. compared to singapore, it is much more fun in bangkok.
