Beware of Taiwan fls on locanto

Hi guys,

Just a heads up, I been scouring the internet looking for good deals and found that there are several amazing looking Taiwan mei mei advertising on locanto.
Wechatted them and all seems good. Was directed to a location and was told to give them my number and wait. Lo n behold, I received a phone call presuming to be their "friend" which I suppose is the okt. Wanted me to first buy some card from 7 11 and later wanted me to some cash transfer thru axs. I refused (whoever thought of paying first without seeing the stocks). Told them I only pay cash directly to the lady.
Negotiated and ended up I hung up on the guy. Felt that it's a scam and thus wanted to warn samsters here. Please don't switch off your big head and let your small head control your actions. Play safe and don't get swindled!

I had the same experience a few months back. I was asked to meet at a 7-11 at AMK. Can't remember the block number. Once I was there, she called and asked me to transfer the payment using the AXS machine which is just outside the 7-11. KNN.. she knew the place better than me. When I refused to transfer and offered to pay her double if we meet, she hung up the phone. She advertised as students from Taiwan, but she sounded more like China. I made a waste trip but was glad I did not fall into her trap.

Not just Taiwan scammers. It's either most or all from Locanto are scammers. I tried a minah on the website. She said to transfers to POSB saving then can meet. also kena scam. She put her name as Riya. Don't get scam by her.
