On the other end, the phone rang for like 5 times and then she picked up.

"hello..." in a raspy voice.

Instantly I smacked myself on the forehead. How could I be so stupid. I am on Australia time and she is probably still sleeping at this hour.

Me : Hi... oops, I guess its the wrong timing huh?

She : huh..? Max? Is that you?

Me : Oh sorry, did I wake you?

She : What kind of stupid question is that? Do you know what time it is?
Her raspy voice crackled into my BB earphone as I paced up and down the room.

She : Of course I was sleeping.,,,


Me : Ok so sorry, go back to sleep, I will call you when you are up later in the day.


She : No no... what;s up.. You already woke me. What's up and why are you up so early this morning?

I explained to her I was in Australia and didn't realise that when I dialled her number.

Seeing that she was still in a semi-awake zone, I decided that it would be most tactical to defer the conversation and the topic at hand.

Me : hey, go back to sleep, I will chat with you later ok?
