Even in smaller Midwest towns, Chinese restaurant waiters are easy to talk to and very resourceful/helpful.
And yes, do be careful in the US as mongering IS a crime and there are sometimes stings even.

Chinatowns, these places are best to fish for massage n other things. usually PRCs, Koreans, as well. They are in the trade for the money.
