Hi bros, actually not on budget, I prepared S$2k,excluding ticket, but including hotel/hostel/boarding house, for my trip there. Normally when I overseas, hotels/accomodation I tend to skimp and try to save as much as possible, just the basic comforts will do. I rather save money for shopping food entertainment etc. $300 just a rough gauge as I first time going.
Language handicap is really unfortunate, so I hope for some guidance to areas which have people who might speak some Chinese/English/Cantonese/hokkien to try my luck. If not just go visit shoot-and-go places and many sightseeing, getting familiar with the culture and people there is also one of my prime purposes there. Sorry if I was not clear about myself.
