Not to worry.... DMIA will still be operating.

Perhaps I can shed some light on the airlines rescheduling plans.
In 2010, Terminal 1 of NAIA started upgrading works and some airlines were "forced" to schedule their flights to DMIA due to the overcrowded flights at NAIA.
The upgrading works has been completed and the handover is supposed to be on 1st June 2013. Therefore, with the completion of Terminal 1 upgrading, some of the airlines which were using DMIA have sought to return to NAIA.
FYI, Tiger Airways still fly to the PI after 15th July but will land at NAIA instead of DMIA...... Air Asia rescheduled some of its DMIA flights to NAIA as the bulk of their travellers preferred going to Manila than Clark.
Another reason is the abolishment of the 2 tier fees for landing rights at DMIA.
All airlines including both budget carriers and international carriers will have to pay the same fees...... no more discount for budget carriers.
Hope this can help to clear some of the confusion.
