Just sharing something one of my friend encounter on his 2days 1night trip to batam last saturday.

When he arrived at Harbour Bay custom, he found out he had lost his white card, searching up and low, still not able to find it. Therefore, he is not able to queue up and get his passport chop by the custom officer, so he informed one of the custom officer and was escort to a room, after about 30-45mins he came out from the office and was issued with a new white card by the custom officer and was able to get his passport chop and enter batam.

Now the main thing come, he informed me when he is inside the office with on e of the custom officer, he was told by the officer to pay $100 for the replacement white card as this is a penalty fees or he will need to go back sg. So my friend got no choice but to give the $100 for the replacement white card. I told him penalty my foot, this is daylight robbery and the money will go inside the officer pocket.

So bros going to batam, please be very very careful with your white card.

Lol.... he could have gotten a new blank one from the ferry staff and fill it in before queuing at the immigrasi.

$100 for a lesson learnt.
