Let me share my experience with both AC and Patts. I was a regular LOS cheongster and first ventured into Pattaya in the 80s which was not as developed as the present Pattaya. Through the years as the city developed.... so did the mindset of the girls working there as they too caught the commercial fever...... it got to a point where money money money was the only thing on everyone's mind so I bailed out when I discovered AC..... which was like the old Pattaya. For the next few years I did not even visit Patts preferring to spend my time in AC.
But since last year AC has also been affected by the commercialism that happened with Patts that I do not enjoy AC anymore. Out of curiosity I took a short trip to Patts for old times sake and what I experienced on that trip surprised me...... it seems Patts and AC have done a reversal of roles where AC is as commercially driven as Pattaya now ..... but Pattaya while is still being commercialised.... is now not as money driven as previously..... most importantly is the girls are very honest upfront so there is no such problem as runners or shortchanging you.
That is why I now spend less time in the PI as I find LOS has improved on its previous shortcomings and is monger friendlier than AC...... the exception is Cebu which I still visit as it is in a different category from AC or Patts.
