Third feedback here about this SilverBird taxi. Was at I Hotel last week and left with my girl at about 12 am. Note that normally the club at I Hotel has transport sending guests back to their own hotel if not staying at I Hotel. But me just nobody there lah. Unlike my sifu Cheong2009 who is able to get the club manager to give free ktv room lah, cheaper hotel room lah etc. Hence, I just left quietly and boarded one of the Silvercab outside the hotel. Of course, before boarding is the customary process of asking how much to go back to Formosa Hotel is where I'm staying. The driver replied something that my limited bahasa can't understand. Seeing my confused look, he keep point to the meter and then my girl told me follow meter one.
Since I'm with my girl, I guess he also don't dare to bring me on merry go round to rack up the fare, so I just board the cab without further questioning. When I reach Formosa, the fare is about 30k++. Which I think is quite ok since it's midnight already. Plus the car is quite new and comfortable.
Highly recommended. At least if you are taking from Habour bay to Nagoya area, it should not cost you more than 30k whereas those counter taxi will straightaway charge you 40k at least.
