For foreigners, 50K is the standard get out of jail pass. The amount that locals pay varies depending on the victim but usually it is around 10K.
In cases where foreigners are involved, all the investigations are taken over by the NBI irrespective of the nature of the misdemeanour / violations committed except for immigration violations (referred to Bureau of Immigration) or drug offences (referred to Narcotics Bureau). Do ensure that you carry a doctor's prescription if you have legitimate medicine otherwise it is a violation under the Drug Resolution Bill.
Finally if for whatever circumstances you are brought back to the police station, try to negotiate your release before they refer your case to the external agencies. Once the external agencies get involved, your chances of walking free gets worse unless you have deep pockets.
