datou: well, there is a difference with filipinos: the church preaches the message that rich must give to poor, and even when somebody dies, the dead person's family goes on fundraising, and refusing to give is perceived as stingy, heartless, and even you may get curses like "God will punish you .. "

And you need a 2 month private class with me to understand the Filipino psyche: I have met / worked / loved / dumped / been dumped - by various people, but nobody has the logic of filipinos.

Trust me on this.

They live in a world of their own, built by the church and outsiders have tough time understanding why a pinay will throw tantrum at you for not fixing HER problem, or so and so.. and your attempts to try to reason will not work .. like I adviced the guy who left a pinay with a big bill, I will never do such thing, as for that little money, they may end up killing you and their legal system will let them walk scot free .. as long as the law says that "YOU DESERVED TO DIE"

Like another case, of a lover's quarrel that ended up in murder: unlike other countries, in Philippines, the police interviewed all the related parties, and understood that the love was intense enough to warrant a killing, and the murderer was left off - FORGIVEN by the dead person's family and that was sufficient for the cops to stop the proceeding.

Defies logic yeah ?

And again, seriously, tread carefully. Tread very very carefully ..

Defies Logic is not so bad, defies Conscience is more worrying.
Tell that to a Chinaman driver who knocked down a kid, found he is still alive, continue to run over him several times to make sure he is dead to save hospital bills.
Such animals r aplenty there.
