MWA: Water fit to drink
Report from Bangkok Post dated 5 November 2011 :-
MWA: Water fit to drink
Metropolitian Water Authorities official assured the public that tap water quality is up to standard and safe.
But the agency said it had increased the amount of chlorine to make sure the tapwater is safe.
Due to the quality of raw water, MWA needs more time to process water which cuts the production by 10 per cent at Bang Khen and Sam Sen plants, but the waterworks agency insisted it is producing enough to serve Bangkok.
MWA has strengthened its dyke at Khlong Prapa to make sure that no floodwater invades the water supply.
