1) While on the ferry to batam on Friday, 25.6.10. Over-hear that there is an opening ceremony for a shopping centre at Batu Haji. Seem to be bigger that Harbour Bay Shopping Mall. Is it true? And also heard them talking about Baloi Centre. So, is there any happening over there at Batu Haji Shopping Centre and Baloi Centre like KTV joints, fish-tanks, etc. Would like to explore new ground and go jalan2 sometimes next week.

New Mall there is at Tem Besi, the developer for that mall is same group as TOP100, and TOP100 open their new store there as anchor tenant. Been there and the design quite similar to Nagoya hill, with alot of shophouses surronding the main mall building. All the shophouses there sold liao, so should be upcoming area. But bear in mind that area the ppl spending power is lesser than those staying Nagoya or Batam centre, so may not find that much entertainment joints. But we never know how it will turn out to be. TOP100 supermarket opened 25th June, can expect the rest of the business there to follow their pace.
