I genuinely believe that he looked a defeated man last year, completely drained and didn't look right at all. I would say he could easily have taken the option to leave at the end of last season, but such is the man, he stayed at extra year at his own personal health and expense.

I don't begrudge him at all, he is a genius, a great manager and a great man. Being a leader is not easy, but he led not only his team, the club, the entire city, and a worldwide fan base.
