Are you thinking about the lamp post restaurant at the U.S. VFW post? That's a pretty good place to get an American style meal and drink. The portions are large there. The restaurant and bar are open to the public lots of U.S. veterans and their filipino families dine there.

I remember I ate there about a year ago and was sitting next to a group of real Vietnam vets talking to each other about the war at the bar section. It was pretty interesting.
