It has been a few days; Will was roaming around to look for Emmi. Even Emmi’s parents were not aware of Emmi whereabouts. They have given Will some addresses to look for.


The Jonker streets were full of tourists as Will was wondering around the area. The old Peranakan – Chinese settlers to Malay Peninsular streets were full of shops. Some shop were selling souvenirs, clothing as well food. Most of the shops were hundred years old with chinese style architecture. The shops were long and usually with a center opened air courtyard and double storey. The UNESCO heritage area was next to the Malacca River across the Red Dutch District. Most of the time, the place were crowded with tourists, local and foreigners.


He was hoping that he could bump into Emmi. It was an hour ago, when Will dropped by Emmi’s cousin place in Malacca but her cousin have not seem Emmi for years.

The mid afternoon was hot. Finally Will decided to stop at one of the chicken rice shop for lunch. The Malacca steam chicken rice with rice balls were particularly famous here. Then he phone rang.


“Will… will…”

It was Meston, his sous chef.

“What is going on?” he asked.

“Your parents called you and can’t get you…”

“I need my alone time…”

“It has been 5 days and the Amazing Group is in trouble. Your parents were trying to get you… as well as many company senior directors,” Meston said.


“Mmmmh.”

“Yes… that is why they asked us to look for you. You better come back.”

“How about May May, did she look for me?”

“That is the problem; she was missing as well.”

“What do you mean missing?”

“She has disappeared too after you left KL.”

“What?”

“Okay…okay, I am coming back.”

“Oh, one more thing, please help me to look for Jimmy as well.”

“Urghhh… Jimmy was arrested for fraudulent and corruption case few days ago.”

“Okay… I will rush back.”

The company meeting room was full of senior managers and directors as Will walked in. It was late evening as he reached the Amazing Group tower.

There was a silent in the room as everyone was looking at Will. Jeff and Lily rushed to Will. Will looked around the room and Hammy was in the room as well. She stood up and walked to Will.

“There is a crisis in the company.”

“Hammy can you brief me?” Will asked.

Hammy just nodded.

“Dad, I can’t give you anything at this moment. I need more information. I also need time, at the moment do what you needed to do.”

Jeff nodded.

Will followed Hammy back to her room. The twenty fifth floor was half empty as many of the staffs already went home.

“Hammy, how is your injuries?” Will asked.

“Much better already. I am glad you came back.”

“Where is May May?”

“She left and no one knows where she is. Now I need to handle all her stuff.”

Will nodded.

“Glad you are here. Did you know about Jimmy?”

She nodded as she turned on the lights of her room. Will was looking at the window that overlook of the view of Maybank Tower. He used to stare at the view from this room that was once his.

Then he sat down as Hammy passed some of the files to him.

“This is the company has declared take over of a few of our subsidiaries a few days ago. The price of stock was down about 15-20% for the past three days. Further one of the company management started to strike on us.”

Will just nodded.

“I know that you have been investigating about these companies about Jimmy. I hope you have something that could solve this issue.”

Will kept quiet and kept studying the files Hammy passed to him.

“Hammy, before I came here, I went home to gather the finding I had done but it was all gone. It was not a coincidence Emmi and May May disappearance.”

“Huh.”

“I know someone might able to help us.”

“But how about the crisis?”

“Let it takes its course.”
