I am still sore at Owen. I think he does not deserve any forgiveness. Don't forget that he engineered his move to Real Madrid, depriving us of much needed funds to replace him with a top class striker. Anyone remember the pittance we got for him. He should have at least been worth double of that (look at what Everton got for Rooney).
We forgave him... and then when things in Spain didn't go his way (If REAL really wanted Owen, they would have paid for him like they paid for Ronaldo, Zidane ... ) So instead of coming back to Pool... he opted for the best deal... which was Newcastle. In my books... he is undeserving of sympathy from Pool fans.
We have had other strikers go overseas... but NONE of them screwed over like Owen.
To me.. his injuries are his reward for what he has done.
