Koreans grow up in a hierarchical and paternalistic society, example drinking sideway when drinking with someone older than them, respecting someone just cos they have an earlier birthdate, ... And it comes time to dating a foreigner, some of them tend to act out their pent-up suppression by showing disrespect, etc. after a while
