Called the hotel to arrange for pickup but was told "Cannot Sir, you have to take the airport taxi as our vehicles are not allowed into the airport." 
Tried using Uber app but somehow keep getting rebooted. Grab not in use here.
Finally lanlan agreed to 500p for the short 10min ride to my hotel. After checking in and a quick shower decide to go for a quick release at the nearby Nifty/Rios. Normally I would go to Santos St or Raymond St if I am staying near Walking Street but this trip Nifty/Rios was the nearest.
Mamasan said 2000p for ST at the back room.... add another 300p if takeout. This is outrageous as I clearly remember ST has always been 700p on my previous visits here. As I was comtemplating whether to be a carrothead and pay the 2000p.....
I tip mamasan 100p and paid my drink and quickly left that place. Caught a trike to Raymond street..... another 150p for the trike that used to be 100p

Bad time (Xmas to New Year or Holy week) to come Angeles.
Prices have increased from 3 years ago but not skyrocketed.
U got the Xmas surcharge for taxi/trike n ST quote.
No more 700p St or bj. 1200 is the rate 1+ year ago.
Good move to avoid the 2000p rip off. Good luck for the rest of your trip.
