For "shoppers" like me, girls were something I prefer to prepare in advance but its more like an every trip process. For "hunters" like yourself,you might prefer the element of some good surprise...hehehe...but not me.
During CNY,the main competition comes from Sillypore's foreign workers (eg Bagalesihi,Indians, etc) who are more than willing to pay close to double the price or more for an overnight booking girl. If I wish to compete with them and pay thru my way,eg 1.8 juta to 2.5 juta for any regular girls that were sold usually at around 1 juta to 1.3 juta,then I wont prepare myself in advance. I chose not to over-pay...hehehe...
As for hotel rooms,let's not forget on an average of about 8 to 9 nights,i get 1 night free room stay (Silver/Gold card). On average ,I have a free night stay in every 3 to 4 months time. I am now starting to accumulate those free nights stay,use it like a form of deposits to pay for my room during CNY time. Base on my current calculation,i should have no problem getting 2 nights stay (could also be 3 free nights tho) by CNY 2018,i claim another 2 more nights stay from my work (saved more than 2 juta here for 4 nights),and if I were to stay for 5 nights during CNY 2018,i pay only one night in full,hehehe...see how that works out?
The money I saved,i can use a small part of it to pay the balance price hike to booking joints (which is normally about 200k to 400k extra per night stay),and then to play "bomb" during my trip,hehehe...and if there are any balance,i will pack them into red packet and gave it to hotel staffs who has been serving well over the past year. (its CNY afterall,right?)
Its a double win-win situation on my part,hehehe...and no,i don't like the element of surprise (be it good or no good ones),especially very much so during CNY time...like I mentioned in my earlier post,i got bitten once before,i don't wish to be bitten again. And this will be my 4th CNY trip in Batam.

Everyone make mistakes, the money is only wasted if one didn't learn anything out of it. Its an affordable mistake for the 1st world tho and hope no one would be making those unaffordable ones.
I am quite stingy when in Batam,so I try my best to learn from other's mistake/s.
