GST relief
Goods brought into Singapore are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST). However, inbound citizens, Permanent Residents and tourists are allowed a tax relief on goods valued up to:
$600 if away from Singapore for 48 hours or more, or
$150 if away from Singapore for less than 48 hours.
This applies to souvenirs, gifts and food products. The goods brought into Singapore must meet the requirements of the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) and other competent authorities. You can enjoy GST relief on purchases for personal use only. Those meant for sale should be declared.
