yes I agree, it much better to play safe especially at this time.
One suggestion is depends on what you want to play, if you intend to party in pacific disco, just stay at the hotel there. If you want to go pubbing in Kampung Bule, or night out at NoName, maybe stay in Hotel Harmoni.
Also when you are there, be humble and courteous...have some basic respect to the locals. I see many Singaporeans there behave like big F just bcos they can spend.....hate it when they talk loudly...
