For me, I achieve at the age of 27 years old this year.

I know its quite late. I finish my NS at the age of 23 years old and found a full time job after ORD.

Took me 4 years to achieve a net worth of $100,000.

No loans, single, still stay with parents.

Now my CPF OA: $41k, SA: $12k, MA: $17k

Inside my bank account: $30,000

Not enough lah. Last time I took 10yrs plus to save $70k cash, it become $0 when I got married. Thinking back....

All Cpf ordinary account money give hdb, special account can't touch, medisave alway decreasing since medishield life was introduced.Now I can't reach that level anymore as got house loan, kids, insurance and bills to service. If can still save $100 or so, I will be happy.

Anyway young man, u still got a long way to go. My networth is only value to my flat on paper, bo cash, bo etc.:(

I hit a net worth of $100,000 at the age of 20 years old...current net worth around 31 million ... very happy with my life now ... :D:D:D

This sort of thread only will attract troll-like replies. No end to comparing. It is really subjective and many ways to compare networth. You can include cpf, car or whatever you have. Best is if you are satisfied with your life although the 100k mark is a milestone in life for most homo sapiens living in an assumed first world country.

I have a feeling 30% of Singaporeans have 100k networth. The lady in the news who went overseas to meet her bf even had more than 200k of savings and she is only in her mid 20s.

The right question will be who here has 500k savings, no credit, their homes fully paid, car paid, travels yearly and living a happy and contented life...

I've met people who can buy 2nd and 3rd properties in cash... Yet still unsatisfied.

I achieve that thru investing....I remember i was only 16 years old when i set my goal to save $100,000.00....Did that thru a mixture of part time jobs, giving out tution while studying at the same time..:D

I was 20 when i got my first $100,000...I realize that it took a lot of hard work and sweat. That was when i found out my passion...investing....I bought a lot of books to read and slowly start to invest myself...

Thru investing, i was only 26 when i manage to amassed by 1st million....I invest a lot in HK, Europe & US stocks....Activision, Amazon, Nvidia, Apple, Ten Cent ,Dalmier AG..etc....They have since sky rocket...Dividend per year is :eek:

There are a lot of people way much more well off than me in the world....the difference between me and them is that they are always so busy while i am free enough to come post on forums....

PS : I don't lend nobody money not even a single dime....that has always been my philosophy...u earn your own keep....U dun get to be rich without being a scrooge in the first place....Even till today i only spend like 5k a month max....

Lastly if u want to gather a sizeable amount of money...u must find out your passion in life....no one ever gets to be rich without doing something they enjoy...:D

One thing i dun believe in is to be contented with life...this will make u complacment....u must always have a hunger for more....willingness to learn and strive for more...For the sky is the limit....

Max 5k a month? Hard to believe lar...You no need go holidays , buy car , medical bills etc? My dental for implant already cost me 8 K liao...Car down payment 70k ....I am a millionaire too . But I believe in spending if you dont spend the money dont belongs to you and life is very uncertain anytime we will be gone the next minute . My philosophy is just be happy and spend within your means and dont ever borrow it .

To believe or not is up to the individual, whether u choose to believe me or not will not make me richer...:p

Forgot to mention i still holds my day job....Car is paid by company....my houses are fully paid...When i mention i spend 5k a month...i means on basic neccessities....holiday included....

End of the day, if u do what u love...u r probably going to earn much more than doing what u don't love....:D

Try not to spend on women...instead invest in urself...u r ur greatest asset...

Remember the sky is the limit....if u think 31m is a substantial amount, it is actually nothing .... ask any private banker who manage the ultra high net worth...they will tell u there are a lot of ppl out there with bank account in the hundred of millions...more than u think....:p

You seriously believe this fellow? I earn more than $300k a year, and is spending more than $10k in expenses every month. He claimed to have 31 million, and only spend $5k a month.... ha ha.... what a joke.....

Probably a small boy fantasizing that he is a multi-millionaire ...... :D:D:D

Im in no position to judge bro maxsee , but fully agree with him do what u love and eventually u will get better reward, be it monetarily or not.
