the gov placed control on water in the whole country due to drought.. water celebrations was cut short.. anyway.. pattaya's main water celebration is on monday and tuesday..

There is quite afew other sources online too.. They urge people to play water at certain areas only.. and also limit the size of the water guns.. they actually took larger guns away from people in silom, bkk..

As for pattaya, they celebrated during the 3 days of national holiday, but there are extra celebrations for Wan Lai, on monday and tuesday.. which us tourist still call it songkran.. even the orphanage that i arranged to visit, suggested i go on monday, as the children will be celebrating Wan Lai on tuesday at the beach road.

I think its not a this year only thing, every year also same i think.. but this year the government assigned "official" places for water fights, but knowing the thai people during songkran, everywhere is a battlefield!

Touch down to pattaya. Certain place there are people playing water, certain place no. Heard from some local, 18 april will be quite big on north pattaya and 19 will be south pattaya. 19 April is known as their wan lai water festival. Beach road will be closed from 8am to 8pm. Most words will expect traffic jam.

Touch down pattaya with friend, immediately check in to hotel and we went reccee form soapy massage. Went to place like rasputin, honey 2, sai bai dee. Price about the same range from 2000 baht to 3500 baht depending on tag and age range. Concept quite similar with bkk but i think bkk have more.

Hollywood girls are mostly FLs but more like part time FLs as in they don't have to be with a customer at the end of the night and the pretty ones are picky with their customers. I've seen local thais go to this pub (i think the name is season chill pub) which is quite near differ club. it operates like a gclub concept. Was there my last time, had a full line-up of girls standing outside the pub. The girls speaks minimal english and is catered more to a thai clientele. Quality is not bad there, more like the oriental thai chinese looks as compared to the normal dark, Issan-looks found in WS.

also there's the differ pub/club which opens around midnight. Lotsa of pretty young college girls. There's FLs but very little and usually they will approach you.

Dunno dun think.

Thais are more than welcomed in Pattaya gogos. They choose not to go.

Only a few bars who not pay enuff coffee money are more wary of Thais as they could be undercover police trying to bust their asses.

Foreigners spend less these days. Many will sit or try to sit for hours jus nursing a draft beer or coke.

Even I these days tell customers to buy another drink after about half an hour..if not kindly dun waste our time.

This year is no less than last year. No cut short Songkran in Pattaya.

Only change is idiots using pipe pumps warned with 20000 baht fine. Last year was 200.
