This seem like a small town..... No well known.
Pls give the name in Chinese. I ll try to check for u.
Guang dong is very big u know. It's abt 5 times the size of Taiwan.

Dont expect big action in this small town.

U need to know the exact location of the town so that U ll know how far r u away from where the action is.

To know the living condition n life style U ll be getting. I suggest u pay a visit to that town before u decide on the offer. Take it as a leisure trip ll be fun.

Aiya CP CO, No matter how big GD is, it is still within 500km radius from CP:D... I would be happy if I can get posted to GD province, even at the furthest end near FuJian or HuNan...

This "广东,鹤山市,沙坪镇" is at the upper most central part of Guang dong, just next to the Jiang Xi province.

Really an Ulu industrial district.....

It's developing quite fast according to my China friend whom Uncle has a plastic injection factory there.

The district government even has website to promote themselves :

Well this place is about 3 hrs away fm GZ.
Still managable.

Anyway, on weekends U can go GZ or CP to have yr fun..... hehe...

ahoy to all buddies here..i ve been here for 2 yrs now ...gz has quite diverse nitelife but when it comes to having sex here it simply sucks...i wud recommend cp or zhuhai or even better macau for this purpose....cheong as u say...:).m a frequent visitor to zhuhai wheneva i get time....any info needed abt gz do ask if u want.......peace out

just want to ask if you are working in China...
are you taking a RMB salary as in China Package? Or SGD, Spore package?
Which would be better? Spore package shld be better right? Cos got CPF contribution...

Also, for allowance... like meal and accomodation allowance..
what shld be the norm like?

want to find out more before I accept the offer in GZ..

bro goalgoal,
there are many type of package, but i would advise that you get the following.
1. Paid housing with utilities, telephone charges paid.
2. Singapore salary with tax equilization, meaning, the company pay for china tax.
3. if you have kids, paid school fee (in international school).
4. transport allowance
5. daily allowance but I believe not many company provide this.

the company is offering me

1. paid accomodation.. utilties not mentioned.. but handphone is claimable..

2 .Salary in RMB.. (from what i feel, this is not good, as i will lose out on the employer's CPF contribution)

3. No kids

4/5. Transport and meal allowance is also claimable..

Any other brothers can advise on overseas package?

What I get when I was posted to CN

1. My Salary in the home country
2. Monthly allowance that covers Transport and Food [and some personal entertainment :p]
3. Depend on your work, some additional allowance (like for sales people, entertainment)

Claim is not good. Should nego a Package. Take in RMB not bad, cos its appreciating. If the quantum is ok, then its best now.
