oscar was full yesterday . Arrived oscar at 7.30 , there were a few customers checked out but the cleaners will only be cleaning the room start from 8.30am thai ...... as I am tired and not hungry so just sit at the hotel lobby waiting for my room.

Since you are there. Can you please check out what brand of Tequila and the prices that HB have ?. Also, do please check to see if HB have orange juice, orange soda as mixers for the Tequila ( or do i have to buy these mixers and bring these in from 7-eleven ) ?.

Oscar still no wifi, they said planning to install in the hotel. Oscar rooms got safety box. The long bath shower host in oscar has changed with new one with LEd light .

No, not yet, leh. It looked pretty "disappointing " from the outside. But should be happeninhg inside. But i do know where this Okay is located and will drop in near the end of the month and ask for discount.

Oliver is located very, very near to Paragon, Barberry, a few ktvs and the farms. But no horny movies on the TV.

Satit Grand View is newer and prices are slightly higher than Oliver. Located after Oliver, in the "newer " area of Danok. No bars there, except for a few farms. But within walking distance to the more happening part of the town.

The bus ( if from Kuala Lumpur ) reaches the border at before 6 am ( M'sian ) and 5 am ( Thai ) and you wait there until the border opens up at 6 / 5 am.
Pls ask the Singaporean bros about timing if you take the bus from S'pore.

yes i probaby am gonna take the grasslands coach ffom singapore golden mile..
by my estimation it would be around no0ntime..just nice for check-in after a meal upon arrival there..
but still haven't gone before so would just like to confirm abit..


first world would be very close to a friend's place but i guess i'll put up at either oliver or Satit Grand View..

sorry to ask again..but........
would u mean more bars and farms or shopping and eating in the area when u said this?

Sawat dee khap, khun Weixiang.

" the more happening part of the town " meant where most of the bars/pubs /discos/ktvs / farms / Oliver and Satit Grand View hotels are ( the left side of the main road ).

The right side of main road also has some smaller bars/pubs and many more farms but to me is the " older " section of the town and not so happening during the night.

There are no shopping, except for the pasar pagi near the border, small shops and Diana mini dept store near Oliver. Eateries / small restaurants can be found all over the place.

The whole town is within walking distance ( except KPK Hotel area and Waterview restaurant ).

Pls check Grassland for arrival time.

ok get it..mean whole danok is reasonably walkable tertapi kalau nak pergi shopping then we'll have to travel about an hour to hatyai central right? (that's what i've read about)

yes, just called grassland. no one in their entire office knows anything when i mentioned danok.

said after customs, next stop will be sadao. (but did not say exactly where to0) :(

1. do y0u advise walking in after customs or alighting at the sadao they mentioned..?

2. erm..can i also ask if i can get some pasar malam soccer jerseys at their pasar pagi..?
else, just get some normal t-shirts for those few days there...

Grassland do not know Danok. They know Hatyai only.

Where do you wanna go ?. Danok or Sadao ?. Both are different areas !.

Bus will not stop in Danok ( except for stamping your passport ) and will not stop in Sadao unless you tell the driver you wanna stop in Sadao.

If you wanna stop in Danok, pls read my last PM to you.

Pasar pagi ( until night fall , actually ) got 2 shops , there is 1 shop near the immigration also selling the same soccer jerseys ( the shop is on your right hand side of the road) plus a few around this small town selling what you need.

No need to khor toad ( excuse me ) thing.

KPK is not that far lah, about 10-12min walking distance. Besides you can always hop on/off the many moto sais around, just 20B one way and its a 2min ride. KPK is the biggest, and I find service and cleanliness there the best. The rooms are also big and comfortable. And I think its the only hotel in town with safes in the rooms. (I stand corrected). It also provides the most decent buffet breakfast around (by Danok standards) And lastly its got a "business centre" with three computers available for free. :)

Hi weixiang....

Going to Danok??? who looking after tianyi then :) when you going? I making a trip there sometime over the Lunar New Year.

Coach from Golden Mile will start at ard 6 to 7pm and will be able to reach Danok at ard 8-9am .... just go for your morning breakfast and a quick morning shop and you be ready to check in :)

if you are there during new year, then we catch up in a couple of drinks then :D
